Info for this week, RSVP by 11:00 pm on Sunday

Notes for the coming week below. Key items – 1) RSVP by tomorrow (Sunday) night by 11:00 pm for this coming week’s HOME Meet against Berkshire (see How to RSVP at the end of this email), 2) NO PRACTICE ON SUNDAY NIGHT – HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all Shark’s Dads!

Edinburgh Meet Results – Thanks to all the swimmers and volunteers who participated in the Edinburgh Meet. We narrowly lost the Meet – Edinburgh 738, Rivershyre 698. Congratulations to to the many team members who had personal best swims.

    • Meet results – View the results here and under the Meet name in the Swim Meets tab.
    • Ribbons – Ribbons will be available for pick up Monday night and throughout the week from the folders in the Ribbon box (usually on the back table in front of the team shed). Speed breaker ribbons will reflect timed dropped from our Dual Meets this year. If your swimmer took off time from their seed time and didn’t get a ribbon, it’s likely because they beat a prior year’s or Mock Meet time. We can’t electronically create these ribbons using the new system, but can create them by hand. If you would like one made, please reply to this email with the swimmer name and event where time was dropped.

Rivershyre vs Berkshire Meet – We are HOME this coming week against Berkshire. Meet theme is Superheros.

    • RSVP – Must RSVP by Sunday night at 11:00 pm. The Meet entries are completed Monday and then submitted to the GCSL. Only "Yes" RSVPs will be seeded in relays and individual events other than backstroke and freestyle.
    • Meet day schedule
      • 4:45 pm – Swimmer checked-in and in the bullpen
      • 5:00 pm - Warm-up
      • 5:45 pm - Bubble swim (awaiting time from the Home team)
      • 6:00 pm - Meet start
    • Meet guidelinesPlease note these guidelines for our Home Meets
      • Swimmers and parents must bring their own seating, no Rivershyre pool deck chairs are to be used for seating
      • No gum allowed – please make sure your swimmer doesn’t chew gum during the Meet, we had to chip up two pieces from the pool deck after the last Meet
      • No horse play in the bullpen – no snapping of towels, running, playful punching, etc. – the bullpen volunteers are charged with lining swimmers up for their races, not monitoring behavior.  They will give a swimmer one warning. If the misbehavior occurs again, the parent will be asked to stay in the bullpen with their swimmer.
      • Everyone is on clean-up - Please pitch in when the Meet ends so we can quickly pack everything away and restore the pool deck
        • If you’re unsure how to help, please ask Mokota Turner
        • Remind your swimmers to clean up their bullpen area and visually inspect it before leaving

Team Pictures - Pictures have been delivered by the photographer and will be placed in the swimmers' ribbon folders on Monday evening.
