Hi all - We received the County Meet final individual seedings last night. Please review this list to see if your swimmer is in the individual and/or relays for their age group,

Congratulations to all those who will be participating in the Meet this weekend!  For those who didn't make it in, remember that just being in the top 100 is a big accomplishment you should be proud of and we still consider your part of our Rivershyre County Team. 

Practice participation - County team members not swimming in the actual Meet because they didn't make the top 50 are welcome to participate in the remaining practices and in Thursday evening's shaving cream fight.  Please note though that the practices are for County team members only.  Participating in these practices is a reward for being on the County team, and the coaches are working with this group on skills geared towards participation in the Meet.  I know this policy can be difficult when some family members are "in" and siblings are not, and appreciate your support and understanding.

Tickets - We'll hand out tickets starting at the end of practice tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.

Shaving cream fight - the traditional County team pre-practice shaving cream fight is this Thursday at 7:00 pm.  Each participant should bring 1 can of plain (not menthol) shaving cream.  Swimmers drop their gear on deck and then meet in the parking lot in front of the clubhouse door.  Swim goggles are strongly recommended for participants.

GA Suit Policy for the county meet:

Please note the GCSL Championship meet does not meet the criteria defined by Georgia Swimming Standards of a “Championship meet” so therefore we will not allow technical suits at our county meet for those swimming in the 12 and under events. This rule change was communicated to all team council representatives prior to the season start. Reminders for Georgia Tech Aquatic Center:

• Heat Sheet will be on sale for $10 CASH
• Folding chairs are not allowed in the stadium seating area
• Coolers are not allowed in the stadium seating area unless they will fit under your seat
• 5 assistant coaches are permitted on deck with each team + 1 Head Coach
• This year, Tech will open both concession stands for your enjoyment.
• There is no standing in the walkways and spectators must sit in their assigned seats.
• ADA seating is clearly marked and only for people in need of accommodated seating plus ONE companion. If you need an ADA seat, you will pick up a wristband AND a ticket for those seats from the Volunteer Check-In table upon arriving at Tech.
• Georgia Tech will be providing security for the meet and will be enforcing the seating. If a spectator does not comply, they will be asked to leave and/or be removed from the building by campus police.
