Happy Saturday Sharks!

Congratulations on completing your first dual meet of the season! Many of your swimmers swam new events and improved their times! Also a huge thank you to all of our volunteers that helped out, we can’t run a meet without you guys.

A couple of messages and reminders:

• Meet RSVPs for Thursday are due Sunday at 11 PM
  • If you are unsure how to pick your swimmer's preferences, please talk to any coach Sunday or Monday night and we will put your swimmer in their events manually. The coaches are doing our best to accommodate every family but once a meet locks, the only way we can put your swimmer in an event is if someone doesn't show up for their age group's relay or to enter a deck seed request before the meet begins if there is an empty lane in a race, which is very rare.
• Due to a scheduling conflict, there will be no practice Monday morning
• We had some concerning horseplay in the bullpen and staging Thursday night. Going forward, if your child receives a warning regarding their bullpen behavior, we will bring them to their parents and explain the issue. When the swimmer returns to the bullpen, if the behavior occurs again, we will ask the parent to sit with them in bullpen to monitor for the remainder of the meet.
• In the future, please do not leave the meet without notifying a coach. Many swimmers left Thursday night which resulted in the last-minute cancellation of many relays leaving some very sad swimmers. Going forward, we will have a check-out sheet at the volunteer tent. Please always check out your swimmer before leaving to ensure they have completed all of their individual events AND relays.
• To help parents know what events your swimmers are in, a limited number of printed heat sheets will be sold at the meet Thursday and a digital copy will be emailed out. A coach will also have a list of your swimmer and all the races they are swimming.

Most importantly, encourage your swimmer to cheer on their friends and teammates! We want to create an enthusiastic environment for these kids to feel supported and would greatly appreciate your encouragement for them to do so.
