2023 Swim Team General Info
April 10th
- Hot food concessions will be back for all Home Meets.
- The “Bubbles” / beginning swimmer group is back for the 2023 season. Bubbles will participate in the 30 minute beginner sessions (10-10:30 am or 6:30-7:00 pm) until they’re able to participate in the full hour practices.
- Coach Katie is returning and will be taking on the role of Head Coach. Coach Katie will soon be interviewing the other returning coaches and finalizing roles for this season. The full slate of coaches will then be updated on the team site.
- If you / your swimmer is interested in a junior or volunteer coach role this season and haven’t yet been in touch with me or Coach Katie, please email [email protected].
- Amanda Mimbs has graciously agreed to be the Team Council Coach Liaison this season and will be the point contact for Coach Katie and the other coaches and for any parent questions regarding coaching.
- After a review of last year’s revenue and expenses, the Team Council determined we need to increase the per swimmer team fee for all age groups, except 15-18 year old swimmers, to $155 ($135 team fee, $20 GCSL per swimmer fee). The per family outside the neighborhood fee has been lowered to $15. This new rate is necessary to cover expenses and is comparable to or below that of other teams in our cluster. If this increased fee causes a hardship for your family, please email [email protected]
- The 2023 team suit remains the Same team suit as last year – the TYR Lambent Titanium (black/white), able to be purchased through various online sites (links on the www.rivershyresharks.com Home page). The team suit remains optional, but either the team suit or another black and white or solid black suit is encouraged for the Dual Meets.
